Our Company

Sahara Motors was established as an Egyptian Investment Company under the law #8 in 2004.

The company aim is to produce in Egypt a unique category of vehicles: Sand Rails. This will provide the local market with a line of innovative products oriented to the tourism business and in general to those individuals and institutions that require to drive extensively in the desert in areas, especially in soft sand dunes, where traditional vehicles, even 4x4, would have not been able to provide an acceptable level of performance.

In April 2005 we started the pilot production of vehicle under the supervision of our foreign partners who have achieved more than 15 year of experience in the design and production of Sand Rails. The first prototypes were built locally and the local staff extensively trained.

Our Factory

In agreement with the Nile Company for Car Manufacturing, we have at our disposal a 8.000 m3 production facility located in the industrial area of Abasseya, in Cairo.

The Egyptian General Organization For Industries "GOFI" is responsible for supervising and licensing all industrial production facilities in the country to ensure the quality of the industrial production. It is also responsible for ensuring that only brand new, high quality components are used during the manufacturing process. Sahara Motors has exceeded GOFI expectations in terms of production facilities and manufacturing. Our factory is today one of the few factory licensed for the production of vehicles in Egypt, in addition to Mercedes, BMW, Suzuki, Peugeot and a few others. As a result, Sahara Motors is the only company manufacturing in a licensed factory for the industrial production of sand rails in the Middle East. Our vehicles are the only sand rails that can receive the necessary license plate from the relevant traffic authority of each country where they are sold.

Our Founders

The principal investors and founders of Sahara Motors are: Vincenzo Puliatti, Chairman and Sameh Saad, Managing Director.

Mr. Puliatti was born in Italy. He has been working all around the world for more than 20 years with the United Nations and the Italian Government before establishing in Egypt where he owns and manage several innovative companies, all of them part of the IT Synergy group. Mr. Puliatti oversees the production process and International Relations of the company.

Mr. Saad has more than 20 years experience in the tourism sector in Egypt and abroad. He is also a Six Sigma Black Belt certified specialist. Mr. Saad is responsible for the marketing of Sahara Motors products in Egypt and abroad.
